Frequently asked questions
How many people can fit in the sauna?
Our sauna can fit 5-8 people comfortably.
How hot does the sauna get?
The sauna can get above 220 degrees fahrenheit.
What should I wear/bring?
We recommend wearing bathing suits, athletic wear, and sandals or shoes that are easy to slip on and off. We also suggest bringing a water bottle to stay hydrated and a towel for drying off.
Is this a wet or dry sauna?
It is actually both—however, all saunas are considered “wet” saunas. When water is added to the hot rocks, it creates steam (löyly). The sauna user can control how “dry” or “wet” the inside of the sauna is, depending on their preference.
Do I need to provide water & power?
Just a water source! To fill the cold plunge, you will need access to a water spigot. We will provide a 100-ft hose and ice to fill the cold plunge. The sauna is completely off-grid, so no electricity is required. It is powered by the sun (solar panels) and wood.
Will you show us how to use the sauna?
Yes! If you will be at the property during delivery and setup, we will give you a brief orientation on how to use the Iki stove in the sauna. There is also an instruction booklet with pictures inside the sauna at all times.
How should I prepare for our sauna day?
We recommend that you drink plenty of water and stay hydrated before enjoying the sauna. We also ask that you shower and remove any lotions, perfume, cologne, and makeup before entering the sauna.
How long does it take for the sauna to heat up?
It can take 30–60 minutes, depending on the outside temperature. The colder it is outside, the longer it will take to heat up.
Where will the cold plunge water be dumped out at after using it?
If renting a cold plunge, we must be able to dispose of the water at or near the drop-off/pick-up location.
Who should not use the sauna?
Children under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult. If you have a pre-existing medical condition or are pregnant, please consult your doctor before booking a sauna experience.
Who should I contact if an issue occurs while using the sauna?
If a medical or fire emergency occurs, contact 911 immediately! For issues regarding the sauna, please contact us via call or text at 916-475-9746.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver anywhere within the city limits of Joshua Tree, 29 Palms, and Yucca Valley. If you are located elsewhere, please contact us to see if delivery is possible for an additional fee.
Is there a minimum booking period?
We require an overnight appointment for weekend bookings (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
What are your payment options?
We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to schedule your sauna delivery date. The remaining 50% is due 3 days before your scheduled delivery. Payments can be made on our website, via a custom invoice, or through Zelle/Venmo. If booking within 3 days of your delivery, full payment is required.
What is your cancel policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know as soon as possible. Deposits are non-refundable, and any remaining balance already paid will also not be refunded. If you would like to reschedule, we will gladly move you to a new date that works for both parties and apply your deposits or fees toward the new date.
Where do you park the sauna?
The trailer can be parked anywhere that allows for reasonable trailer access on solid, level ground and along roads in good condition. We ask that there be enough space for a Sprinter van and trailer to navigate. The entrance to the location must be at least 10 ft wide, with the area clear of any overhanging trees or obstacles and a minimum clearance of 12 ft. The footprint of the trailer is 15’ × 8’. If you are unsure about the road conditions leading to the property, please contact us first to confirm whether we can access the location.
Can I move the sauna after it is already dropped off?
The sauna must not be moved by renters under any circumstances. If you would like the sauna relocated, please contact one of our staff to see if it can be done. Moving the trailer will depend on the location. Renters who move the trailer will be held liable for any damages to the sauna, the property, or any injuries that may occur.
What if I run out of wood provided for the sauna?
You will be provided with two bundles of wood per 3-hour or nightly sauna booking. If you run out of the provided firewood, softwoods are ideal for starting the fire, while hardwoods are better for keeping it burning hot. Most grocery stores and gas stations sell these types of wood. We ask that you never use wood containing tree sap, painted or stained wood, or freshly cut/gathered wood from your property.
How much ice is provided with the cold plunge?
When the cold plunge barrel is delivered, it comes with 80 lb of ice per barrel. The cold plunges are not set to a fixed temperature, so it is the customer’s responsibility to maintain the desired temperature after delivery. If you would like extra ice for multiple days, an additional fee will apply.
